Mid-South Flute Festival
College Master Class Competition

Required Repertoire: one piece not exceeding ten minutes
Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate student enrolled in any college major. Three performers will be selected on the basis of recorded auditions to play for the guest artist at the 2026 Mid-South Flute Festival.
Entrants are required to record one piece of their choice not exceeding ten minutes in length. Single movements of multi-movement pieces are acceptable. Unedited recordings may include studio as well as concert performances. Pieces that require accompaniment must be recorded with accompaniment. Smartmusic© or other prerecorded accompaniment may be used.
Instructions for the Preliminary Round:
1. Pay the online entry fee.
2. Complete the application form.
3. Record your piece in an individual file using either wave or MP3 format.
4. Label each file with your last name and title of the piece (e.g. smithfaure.mp3 and smithibert.mp3).
5. Email your recording file to this email address with "Mid-South Masterclass Preliminary Round" in the heading: [email protected]
6. If you have issues emailing the recording, you can upload it to Dropbox and share the dropbox files with the email address listed above. Uploading the recording file to Dropbox folder.
